What have we been up to this week?
Year 4 children have taken part in InTo University workshops this week. During the session, pupils found out what a career is, and they found out about different possible career paths. They gained a more detailed insight into three different careers – a foley artist, a research scientist and a palaeontologist. The children got into role for each career and had a taster of what the jobs involve. For the foley artist, the children had to create their own soundtrack based on a picture. The research scientist involved testing different chemicals to discover if they were safe or unsafe. The palaeontologist job taught children to dig for dinosaur fossils and to relay their findings to the group. Throughout the session, the children had to work in teams and show good communication skills.
