What have we been up to this week?

In our D&T lessons, the children have been exploring a range of healthy food by trying different dips. As part of our topic on food preparation and tasting, we made three dips –  a yogurt dip, a pico de gallo (a tomato and onion salsa), and a pea and mint dip. The children had the opportunity to look at, smell, and talk about the ingredients in each dip before tasting them. We also had different fresh vegetables such as cucumber, courgette, peppers, and tomatoes, along with slices of soft pitta bread. The children enjoyed dipping and tasting, describing the flavours and textures, and talking about which ones they liked best and why.
