What have we been up to this week?
The summer is in full swing and wildlife is everywhere as we enjoy this beautiful weather! So it seems like a good opportunity to discuss what we’re looking at in science this term. Year 1 are revisiting biology. In these lessons we discuss animal types and living things. We look at what makes them the same and what makes them different. It is a lovely exercise for the children over the summer weeks as they reinforce knowledge that they have learned, and they can apply it to their everyday world. There is an art element where the children get to draw their favourite animal and label the creatures parts. In our photos here, class 5 are being tiny teachers and discussing all they know about amphibians.
