What have we been up to this week?
This week in Year 1 we have been working hard to learn new letter sounds using our Phenomenal Phonics scheme! We have met new phonics characters including Splark and Merp who help us to remember the digraph families ‘ar’ and ‘er’. We can now read words containing digraphs ar, ur, er, ir, such as ‘charming’, ‘hurt’, ‘twirl’, and ‘flowers’. Who will we meet next week?
