What have we been up to this week?
Down a dark, dark corridor in a not-so dark, dark classroom: there are some Funnybones about! First week back from the half term and Year 1 have got stuck into everyone’s favourite children’s story: Funnybones. We have started of this part of our Ambleside Authors in Training by acting out scenes as tall Skeleton and short Skeleton. Classes 4, 5 & 6 have had great fun discussing how they feel the characters would act and have shown us their spooky skills. We’re really looking forward to working on this fabulous story for the next few weeks. The learning will focus on suffixes which the children have shown an eagerness to grasp. It’s lucky we’re not near Halloween; things could get scary!
