What have we been up to this week?
Year One have had a great start to the year and are enjoying all the special and fun activities that they are doing. The children have been working very hard on our phonics, their counting up to 10, and have spent time learning and exploring out in the adventure playground too. On Thursday, our school celebrated International Dot Day, and the children had a lot of fun coming to school wearing clothing with dots on them. In the afternoon, the children met up with their partner classes and listened to a special story. The children were encouraged to think about how they make their own special mark on the world, and this was represented with a calm and relaxing afternoon decorating a paper dot to represent us! The children loved working with their friends in their partner class.
