What have we been up to this week?
It was World Book Day on Thursday. Classes 1, 2 & 3 had an enjoyable day dressing in costumes of their favourite book characters. The children wrote about their costumes and why they picked them. It was great to hear their thoughts and why they made their choices. It tied in well with the story that all of reception is currently reading: Jack and the Beanstalk. With this story, the children have been given such tasks as creating pictures of the giant’s castle in the clouds, writing letters to the giant, and making gleaming collages of the hen and its golden eggs. It was also an excuse for the reception team to dress as characters from Jack and the Beanstalk. Which was like panto season!
