What have we been up to this week?

The EYFS cohort recently embarked on an educational trip to Wollaton Park in Nottingham, taking full advantage of the beautiful weather. The day commenced with a nature walk around the lake, where the children observed and discussed the wildlife, including the deer that inhabit the park. This was followed by physical development activities, as the children engaged with small sports equipment, promoting both coordination and teamwork. The exploration continued in the wooded area behind Wollaton Hall, where the children were encouraged to discover and inquire about the natural environment. To integrate art into our outdoor learning, the children conducted observational drawings of Wollaton Hall, enhancing their attention to detail and appreciation of architecture. Lunch was enjoyed in a picnic-style setting, fostering social skills and a sense of community. This trip provided a well-rounded educational experience, aligning with our commitment to holistic child development and outdoor learning.
