What have we been up to this week?
This week in reception, the children have continued their learning all about insects. The children have moved on from the theme of ants and this week they have been learning about bees. The theme has allowed the children to put their scientific skills to use since they have been learning all about how bees and other insects pollinate plants through practical experimentation. Such experiments include using finder puppets to move cheesy-puffs from one ‘flower’ to another and observing how the residue is transferred from each one. The children have also been creative, making their very own bees out of salt-dough.
