What have we been up to this week?
This week in the EYFS the children have continued their learning about growing, with a scientific focus on the growth-process of plants. Many of them have been delighted to see the gradual changes of their beans, watching them grow. Since the growing beans are on display in the unit, the children have been able to make comparisons between beans that are growing well and those that are not. This has elicited some interesting discussions on factors that contribute to plant growth and has provided the springboard for some useful enquiry. The natural curiosity of the EYFS children has made many of them effortless scientists throughout this process.
