Principal’s message
Your children are working hard, and we are proud of them! Yesterday, a team of senior leaders from the Raleigh Education Trust carried out a ‘mini-inspection’ of the school, and we are really pleased with the feedback. They commented on the high standard of work in children’s books; the high levels of concentration and independence in Nursery; the pupils’ good manners and behaviour and their positive attitudes towards learning. I would also like to praise the staff – both teaching and non-teaching – who are all working together as a team to make our school the best it can be.
This week, Year 6, Walrus Class have had a series of visits to Nottingham University and the Air Museum at Newark, to find out about the world of higher education and support their aspirations, as well finding out more about their World War 2 topic. Staff have commented on their excellent attitudes and the way they have represented Ambleside by demonstrating our school values of ambition, curiosity and respect.
Next week it is the Nursery children’s turn to step outside school, and find out more about their neighbourhood on their local walk.
Have a super weekend.
