What have we been up to this week?
Thursday 10th October was ‘Hello Yellow’ day. It’s a Young Minds charity day in which we discuss children’s mental health and promote awareness of the matter. To do this, everyone has been encouraged to wear something yellow. As you can imagine, in Reception, it leads to a very bright classroom! The children and the staff have had such fun showing off our buttery yellows, our mad mustards, our laughing lemons, and our brilliant blondes! As an event, it’s a great opportunity to teach our little ones about the importance of mental health and to understand that they are valued as individuals. It can be a tricky topic at this age, however we’ve had some lovely contributions from our brilliant buttercups!
