Principal’s message
This week we have learnt about the celebration of Diwali, as well as preparing ourselves to be safe on Bonfire Night – two very different, but important events to our school community.
Children in Year 6 continue to work with our PCSOs, and several who applied have been interviewed formally for the job of Mini Traffic Cops. You will receive a letter about this project, but please look out for these children when they are ‘on patrol’ around the school in the mornings with the PCSOs – they may request to speak with you, and may even be issuing warning tickets to those car users who they feel could park and drive more safely around our school premises…

Out of school visits this half of term include Year 2’s trip to Nottingham Castle and the Stone Age Themed day at Brackenhurst for Year 3 pupils. We are glad to gradually resume our programme of educational visits as we feel they enhance the curriculum and give children memorable learning experiences. We do need your financial contribution, please, whatever it may be, to ensure these trips can go ahead, so appreciate your support. Payment plans can always be arranged.
Thank you to those parents/carers of children in Year 1 and Year 2 who have been doing such a great job of supporting your children’s learning with Homework. It really does make a difference. Year 1 in particular are Homework Superstars!
The first Wednesday Workshops for parents have also been a great success with lots of you able to attend after dropping off your children. Please look out for the next Wednesday Workshops which will be for Year 6 and Year 2 parents about SATs 2022.

Please stay safe if you’re attending a bonfire party.

Have a fun weekend!
Ms Bromley
